What Crypt Table is

Crypt Table gathers the everyday tools of a dark-fantasy tabletop RPG into one place: a fast dice roller, initiative and hit-point trackers, generators for NPCs, treasure, encounters and taverns, a saveable character sheet, and a solo oracle for playing without a Dungeon Master. The goal is simple — open a tab and play, without hunting across a dozen sites or creating an account for each one.

What we care about

• Simple and fast — the answer or the roll should be one tap away, with nothing in the way.
• Private by design — everything runs in your browser; your sheets and journals never leave your device.
• Free for everyone — no sign-up, no install, works on phone, tablet and desktop.
• Transparent rules — d20-style assumptions, probability formulas and generator limits are stated so you can adapt them to your own game.

How the content is made

The Crypt of Gallowmere is stored in this site's source as fixed story nodes, encounter records and ending text. The utility tools use project-specific word banks and browser-side rules rather than presenting generated results as official material from a particular game publisher. The generator design guide documents what comes from fixed tables, what is random and where judgement at the table is still needed. Other guides explain the site's game or broad tabletop concepts and link directly to the relevant interactive tool.

Some page copy and source-list revisions were prepared with generative-AI assistance and checked against the current code before publication. The deployed generators themselves select from fixed local arrays; they do not ask a live AI service to create each result.
